Love In Relationships

About me Personally…

Early in my life, I remember thinking that all relationships seemed to be very painful.  I watched my parent’s relationship, which was full of conflict, end when I was 13.  I also grew up in a house with many foster children coming and going.  I learned not to get attached so I wouldn’t hurt when they left.  Following this core belief, I remember thinking that I wasn’t going to open myself and “love” someone, or let myself be loved, even though I had many relationship opportunities to do so. Whenever the going got tough, I left.

By the time I was twenty-five, I had numbed out to my feelings and to the world.  It is my belief that this state of being so numb to myself produced symptoms and the subsequent diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS).  My mother suggested I do a personal development workshop at PD Seminars* on Gabriola Island, BC.

Wow, what a life changing event!  Here I began my journey of coming back into the feelings and sensations in my body and into real connection with myself and others. I believe it is through this process that I no longer have MS!   I became intensely curious about human behavior and the path of self-discovery.  With my heart and soul on fire to learn more, I moved to the Personal Development Center to continue studying, facilitating workshops, and creating new ones.  I attended many fascinating workshops, read many books on the topic, and closely observed people in their relationships.

It was during this time that I met a wonderful man who was also on the personal development path. We started a relationship as an experiment to test out the new tools we were learning.  That incredible relationship lasted 10 years until it was clear that we had learned all we could from being together. With the help of my new skills, I had challenged my old belief systems and discovered the beautiful joy of intimately connecting with a partner!

My current relationship is going on seven years.  I’m so grateful to be with an intimate partner who is as deeply devoted to learning and growing through relationship as I am.

My love of this relationship work continues to inspire me to research and study the most current and important new ideas in healing through intimate relating.  And I am blessed to have created a dynamic business which allows me to share my deepest joy and life purpose:  helping people learn, heal, and grow through their relationships!

I invite you to contact me to see if I can help you to learn, heal and grow through your relationships.
